 What is family mediation ?

Family mediation is a voluntary, alternative and confidential procedure, that aims to resolve family disputes, allowing the parties to reach agreements outside the court walls with the help of an experienced professional, who is familiar with the expected procedures and complexities, and is experienced in solving them based on familiarization with the law and the unique rulings for family matters.

The key advantages of the mediation process are shortening legal procedures and even avoiding them, while significantly cutting the heavy costs involved in managing these procedures.

Turning to a mediation process is possible at any stage of the conflict – at the outbreak of the conflict and even during the legal process. Also, withdrawal from the mediation process is also possible at any stage.

The mediation process allows the conflicted parties to meet in the presence of the mediator, allowing them to create an open and direct dialogue, while finding a solution that meets the interests of all parties in the conflict.

Family mediation "in practice":

The mediation process is conducted as a mix of joint meetings between the parties and the mediator, and individual meetings of each party with the mediator.

First, a joint meeting is scheduled between the parties and the mediator, in which the parties tell about themselves and their families.
